The UK-based Fred Olsen Cruise Lines welcomed its 3rd ship back into service, with the return of ms Balmoral marking the start of a summer season from homeports Newcastle upon Tyne (England) and Rosyth-Edinburgh (Scotland).

Balmoral will split her summer cruises between the two ports, ahead of a program of winter sailings from Dover and Southampton (England), with two new Captains - Valentin Giuglea and Steffan Ravneng, at the helm.

During the coming weeks, passengers will have the chance to witness the Midnight Sun and the beauty of Arctic Norway, explore the historic cities of Tallinn (Estonia) and Riga (Latvia), and experience the Golden Circle in Iceland. MS Balmoral will also offer scenic sailings into the Norwegian fjords and along the Seine in France.

These follow on from Balmoral's inaugural voyage - the 16-night "Canary Islands with the Funchal Flower Parade" voyage which returned to Newcastle on May 18.
