For 3 decades, an antique Rolls Royce has been cruising the high seas on CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's ship Carnival Ecstasy. Now, the popular fixture will continue the travels on Carnival’s next newbuild, Carnival Celebration.

The vintage car (1934 Rolls Royce Saloon) was offloaded from Ecstasy while the liner was docked in Mobile AL on Thursday, June 23. It is being shipped to the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku Finland where Celebration is currently under construction.

The car will soon find a new home adjacent to the 2-deck zone aboard Carnival Celebration, The Gateway, which celebrates travel and new destinations. The Gateway includes The Golden Jubilee bar highlighting Carnival’s evolution of cruise ships over the last 50 years. The Golden Jubilee will feature memorabilia and original pieces from a number of Carnival’s earlier ships.

The designer of Carnival Ecstasy searched all over the UK to find the perfect car to fit the spot outside the Rolls Royce Cafe. It was acquired from an antique car dealer in Northern Wales.

Ecstasy is finishing her final cruise season and will be retired in October 2022.

Carnival Celebration, the 2nd of Carnival’s new LNG-powered ships will commence service in early November with a 2-week transatlantic voyage from London (Southampton UK) to her homeport of PortMiami (Florida USA)
