RCI-Royal Caribbean moved elsewhere 4 additional cruise ships scheduled to sail in 2023.

Passengers booked on Brilliance of the Seas for her summer 2023 cruises received an email that their sailings had been canceled. RCI's original plan Brilliance OTS was to continue offering cruises departing from Tampa (Florida USA) through April 29, 2023, and begin her European season on May 15, 2023, before making her way back to Tampa in November 2023.

The IMO-International Maritime Organization recently shared new speed regulations that the cruise line must adhere to. As a result, they have repositioned some ships for the upcoming 2023-2024 cruise season.

Brilliance OTS will now sail from Vancouver (BC Canada) starting April 3, 2023, and Sydney (NSW Australia) beginning October 23, 2023. Enchantment OTS will take Brilliance's place in Europe and Florida and will offer similar itineraries.

The original plan for Enchantment OTS was to offer sailings from Vancouver BC on April 3, 2023, and Sydney on October 23, 2023. Instead, Enchantment will now continue offering cruises from Baltimore (Maryland USA) through April 20, 2023, and begin a European season with departures from Civitavecchia-Rome (Italy), Piraeus-Athens (Greece), and Ravenna (Venice, Italy) starting May 15, 2023, before making her way to Tampa in November 2023.

Starting July 28, 2022, Royal Caribbean automatically moves clients to the new Enchantment OTS sailing departing on the same day as the original Brilliance OTS cruise. They will receive like-for-like accommodations onboard Enchantment, and their amenities will remain the same.

Guests booked onboard Enchantment OTS/Brilliance OTS have 3 options:

  • Automatically move to the Enchantment OTS/Brilliance OTS sailing departing on the same day as the original cruise. The new sailing will still offer the same ports as the original cruise and will depart from the same destination.
  • Rebook any other Royal Caribbean sailing. The company will waive any non-refundable deposit change fees.
  • A full refund of any paid portion of the cruise fare (including non-refundable deposits) & any pre-paid amenities to the original payment form within 14 business days.

Brilliance Of The Seas cruise ship

Due to IMO's speed regulations, Voyager of the Seas was scheduled to offer sailings from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades, Florida) through November 4, 2023, and Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida) beginning November 10, 2023. Instead, Voyager OTS will now sail from Galveston (Texas USA) beginning May 9, 2023.

Adventure of the Seas will take Voyager's place in Florida and will offer similar itineraries. Passengers will be automatically moved to the new Adventure OTS sailing departing on the same day as the original Voyager cruise. They will receive like-for-like accommodations and their amenities will remain the same. Just like Brilliance/Enchantment, vacationers have the choice of the automatic move/move to another ship/full refund.

Brilliance OTS is the 2nd Royal Caribbean ship to be redeployed away from Europe.

Serenade of the Seas was due to offer sailings from Stockholm (Sweden) and Copenhagen (Denmark) starting May 21, 2023. Instead, she will be homeported in Florida for summer 2023. Unlike Brilliance, Royal Caribbean canceled Serenade OTS European season because of the conflict in Ukraine.
