The “833rd Hafengeburtstag Hamburg” culminated on Saturday, September 17, and the main attraction on the River Elbe was AIDA Cruises' ship AIDAprima.
The liner was the centerpiece of the light show “Hamburg’s Sea of Lights”, presented by the line, which provided an opulent colour painting in the heart of the Hanseatic city.
The AIDAprima ship had taken up position in front of the Landungsbrucken, where a wealth of spectators had gathered to witness the unique spectacle. The fireworks display of lights and music thrilled them on the waterfront. In the end, the captain of AIDAprima, Jorg Miklitza, played powerful typhoon sounds.
