RCI-Royal Caribbean opened bookings for its Icon of the Seas ship on October 25, 2022.

Vacationers can choose from Icon’s 28 types of accommodations.

There are 14 new categories ranging from standard rooms to suites, including more family options like Family Infinite Oceanview Balconies/Surfside Family Suites, awe-inspiring views in Panoramic Oceanviews, Sunset Suites, and more, as well as spacious layouts across the board.

Emerging in January 2024, the first in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class sets a new standard for accommodations. The variety of staterooms and their design reflects the array of different preferences among all vacationers, making it so that there is a perfect home base for everyone onboard.

Icon OTS staterooms include several new for RCI categories, feature intuitive layouts, and more space/accessible options in every category, location, and amenities. Among the new cabin categories are more choices designed for families and groups of friends, which make for more standard rooms and suites for 3, 4, 5, and 6 guests.

Accommodation highlights include:

  • Family Infinite Oceanview Balconies can accommodate a family of up to 6 and offer a bunk alcove for kids at the other end of the room decked out with beds, TVs, and space to kick back. The bathroom has a split design with a shower and a sink on one side/a sink and toilet on the other.
  • Surfside Family View Interiors, Balconies, and Suites located in Surfside, the new neighbourhood made for families. These new rooms for up to 4 guests are the ideal combination of views and convenience. The Surfside Family Suites provide the elevated suite experience along with a kids' room that can serve as a living space, as well as a private balcony.
  • Ultimate Family Townhouse is debuting on Icon. This 3-story suite for families features ways to play for every family member. The townhouse has a multilevel, in-suite slide, 2 private balconies, areas for karaoke and watching movies, and even a private entrance to Surfside.

More rooms onboard feature ocean views, due to a broader mix of categories with balconies/windows. Infinite balconies make their Royal Caribbean debut alongside new accommodations, including:

Panoramic Oceanviews & Suites are situated high up on Icon OTS in the transformational AquaDome neighbourhood. Their wall-to-wall/floor-to-ceiling windows make them one of the best spots for stunning views.

Sunset Suites, Junior Suites & Corner Suites offer expansive balconies, including wraparound balconies in the Sunset Corner Suites.

Also among the lineup of new categories are infinite balconies in Central Park, boasting a birds-eye view of the real plants in the open-air neighborhood, and the Sky Junior Suites/Infinite Grand Suites that join the many staterooms that offer ocean views.

For the first time on a Royal Caribbean ship, guests in every accommodation can adjust the lighting/temperature with their smartphone and the line's mobile app. More features are TV streaming and the mobile TV remote control/room key.
