Princess Cruises has announced its 2028–2029 Australia and New Zealand programme alongside the 2029 Grand World Odyssey, combining regional itineraries with an extended world cruise. All voyages are scheduled to open for sale on November 10th, 2026.

The 129-night Grand World Odyssey aboard Grand Princess will be the longest roundtrip world cruise offered from Australia by the company. Covering ~37,300 nautical miles, the voyage will visit 61 destinations across 31 countries and 5 continents, with opportunities to explore 51 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The itinerary includes major cities such as New York, Miami, Reykjavik, Lisbon, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Tahiti and Auckland, as well as scenic cruising near Easter Island and Pitcairn Island. It will also feature two full transits of the Panama Canal’s new locks and nine extended port experiences in Europe, South America and the South Pacific, including 8 late-night departures and one overnight call. Passengers can embark in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, with an additional departure option from Dover in the United Kingdom.

The 2028–2029 Australia and New Zealand season will feature 90+ departures across 70+ itineraries, ranging from 2 to 46 nights, aboard Grand Princess, Emerald Princess and Royal Princess. The programme will cover 42 destinations across 6 countries, with access to 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and 11 extended port experiences. Six departure ports will be available: Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Fremantle and Sydney. The programme includes 17 round-Australia voyages and marks Emerald Princess’s return to Australia for the first time since the 2016–2017 season, alongside renewed homeporting opportunities in Melbourne and an expanded selection of New Zealand cruises.

The season will feature wildlife and scenic experiences across the region, including the little penguin parade on Phillip Island, wildlife encounters on Kangaroo Island and scenic cruising along Australia’s remote Kimberley Coast. New Zealand itineraries will include Fiordland National Park and destinations across both the North and South Islands, while South Pacific sailings will offer visits to tropical island communities.
