Cordelia Sky, formerly Norwegian Sky, has arrived in Mumbai, marking a further expansion of India-based Cordelia Cruises. The 77,104-gross-ton vessel will join Cordelia Empress, with its first passenger sailing scheduled for October 23rd, 2026.

Built in 1999, Cordelia Sky has 1,002 staterooms and capacity for ~2,004 passengers at double occupancy. Preparations for its entry into service included exterior repainting and the application of Cordelia branding. On October 11th, the cruise line also marked the ship’s addition with a 1,500-drone display above Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse.

The ship’s inaugural Cordelia voyage will be a 3-night roundtrip from Mumbai, calling at Goa before returning on October 26th. The initial programme will include weekend cruises and longer itineraries to Goa and Lakshadweep. Onboard facilities include 2 swimming pools, 5 hot tubs, a fitness centre, a spa and sports areas for activities such as pickleball and cricket. Dining options will feature Indian and international cuisine, including vegetarian and Jain meals.

The vessel’s deployment will allow Cordelia Cruises to operate from two homeports, with Cordelia Sky based in Mumbai and Cordelia Empress operating from Kochi. Together, the ships will offer 1,798 staterooms and ~3,596 lower berths, increasing the company’s double-occupancy passenger capacity by around 126% compared with its previous single-ship operation.

Further expansion is planned for 2027, when Cordelia Sky is scheduled to operate 7-night Southeast Asian voyages between Chennai and Singapore during the summer. Cordelia Sun, formerly Norwegian Sun, is also expected to join the fleet later that year.
