Another 15 cruise ships are scheduled to visit Tonga this year.
2023 is a year of revival for the tourism industry that was hit hard by the closure of the country's international borders from March 2020 through to September 2022.
3 ships have already visited in January-February, bringing thousands of cruise passengers and crew members.
The Ministry of Tourism lists the next arrival, ms Europa 2, to visit Port Nuku'alofa on Saturday, February 18th. The ship is expected to bring 500+ tourists (passengers and crew) for a day's visit.
March sees more ship calls and more berthings booked through to December 2023.
5 ships visited Tonga for the latter part of 2022 after Tonga fully re-opened international borders, sea, and air effective September 27th, 2022.
