"With the new included excursion, we are not only fulfilling our guests’ desire for an exclusive experience, but also meeting our A-ROSA standards for what a city visit should entail. It is our goal to keep our environmental footprint in the sailed regions to a minimum. The included city tours are particularly environmentally friendly and benefit from smaller groups of guests.”

On Portugal's Douro River, an included shore excursion has been a longstanding feature of the program. From Pinhao, the land tour takes tourists along the vineyards of the Alto Douro region to a winery. Vacationers can enjoy a traditional Portuguese menu, customarily served to the harvest workers at the end of their work. The trip is accompanied by traditional Portuguese music.
