GPH-Global Ports Holding signs cruise port concessions agreement for Port Alicante (Spain)

Global Ports Holding (GPH) announced that its 80:20 joint venture with “Sepcan” (Servicios Portuarios Canarios) had signed a 15-year cruise port concession for Port Alicante (Spain).

The signing of the agreement follows the award of preferred bidder status, announced on December 16th, 2022. Global Ports Holding expects to take over the cruise ship operations in Alicante during March 2023.

Alicante's Port Authority is currently enhancing the port area in a multimillion investment that will integrate the city. Alongside the investment and as part of the concession agreement, the joint venture plans to invest up to EUR 2 million into refurbishing/modernizing the cruise terminal.
