DCL-Disney Cruise Line to sail to Hamburg (Germany) in 2024

DCL-Disney Cruise Line has announced that for the 2024 cruise season, it will include Hamburg (Germany) in its itinerary.

MS Disney Dream ship will arrive at Port Hamburg on September 3rd, 2024, as part of a 7-day voyage to the British Isles. Known for providing excellent family cruising experiences, Disney promises to deliver high-quality onboard entertainment, including Broadway-style shows, character encounters, themed dining, and relaxation options for all members of the family.

Representatives from Cruise Gate Hamburg (CGH), including Simone Maraschi and Iris Scheel, attended the Seatrade Cruise Global event in Florida, the biggest trade fair for the cruise industry. At the event, they met with Disney Cruise Line executives and other cruise companies to discuss possibilities for sailing to the Port of Hamburg. Hamburg was well-represented at the Seatrade Cruise Global event, and attendees included Jens Meier, CEO of Hamburg Port Authority AoR, and Michael Otremba, Managing Director of Hamburg Tourismus GmbH. They jointly promoted Hamburg as a destination and highlighted its strong position as a cruise hub.

For a week in September, Hamburg will host two major global cruise events.

From Sept 6th to 8th takes place, followed by the "Hamburg Cruise Days" (Sept 8th to 10th). The highlight of the 3-day events will be the ship parade on the Elbe River on Saturday evening, accompanied by live music, fireworks, and hundreds of thousands of visitors.
