Marella Cruises UK will be making a comeback to the Dominican Republic in the winter of 2024-2025, marking their return after a hiatus since 2017.

The line will be deploying Marella Explorer 2 from La Romana starting on Christmas Eve, 2024, offering a series of Caribbean cruises exclusively for adults. The itineraries, which will be available for booking from July 20th, will cover various islands including Grenada, Barbados, St Lucia, St Kitts, Dominica, Antigua, St Maarten, Tortola, and Samana, which is a new port for Marella UK in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, a third itinerary will include stops at Aruba, Curacao, and Bonaire.

Marella UK will also be providing winter cruises in the Mediterranean, featuring two shorter itineraries. Marella Explorer will embark on a journey from Malaga on December 9th, 2024, heading towards Tenerife via Gibraltar and Casablanca in Morocco, with one day at sea. The company's latest ship, Marella Voyager, will depart from Palma, Majorca, on November 2nd of the following year, visiting Alicante, Almeria, and Malaga.

New winter itineraries offered by Marella UK include 6-night sailings from Marmaris in Turkey, Corfu, and Malaga.

Chris Hackney, the managing director of TUI UK & Ireland, expressed enthusiasm about enhancing their customer offering by introducing new destinations, itineraries, and ships. He announced their pleasure in presenting a fresh experience for guests with the upcoming sailings departing from La Romana in winter 2024. Passengers will have the opportunity to explore popular Caribbean islands during their cruise and also take advantage of Marella's "cruise and stay" option, which allows them to enjoy a stay at one of TUI's hotels in the Dominican Republic before or after their cruise.

Prices for the Dominican Republic cruises start at GBP 1,799 per person.
