The commencement of the season heralds the arrival of voyages to the French Caribbean island of Martinique, especially renowned for its burgeoning luxury cruise sector.

Seabourn Pursuit became the season's first ship docking at Pointe Simon Terminal in Fort-de-France and carrying 231 passengers.

This marks the introduction of Seabourn's second "expedition" vessel this year, with Pursuit boasting a remarkable inventory comprising two tailor-made submarines, 24 zodiacs, kayaks, and a dedicated 26-member expedition team, responsible for engaging guests on every remarkable journey.

Additionally, the upcoming season is set to witness the visits of Seabourn's ships Quest, Sojourn, and Ovation, further enhancing the island's allure as a premier cruise destination.

This season Martinique expects ~421,000 cruise tourists, signifying a substantial year-on-year surge of nearly 25% from the preceding 338,154 passengers.

This bustling season will encompass 180 cruise ship calls at Port Fort-de-France, as well as an additional 60 calls at various tender ports/anchorages, including Les Trois Ilets, Le Marin, Anses-d’Arlet, and Saint Pierre, among other picturesque locales.

Particularly notable is the remarkable growth experienced by Saint Pierre, which is poised for 32 cruise calls, translating into an impressive total of 13,000 passengers.

This fortuitous news coincides with the auspicious designation of the neighboring Mont Pelee volcano as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, further elevating the region's cultural and natural significance.
