National Geographic Orion is set to sail through the waters of the Mediterranean during the summer of 2025.

In honor of the vessel's return to this iconic travel region, Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic will introduce four new itineraries, providing unprecedented explorations of the culturally rich area, characteristic of the innovative approach only the global leader and trailblazer of modern expedition cruising can offer.

With 7 decks and 53 oceanview staterooms, NatGeo Orion will traverse the Mediterranean with elegance. From the iconic Dalmatian Coast of Croatia to the breathtaking azure expanse surrounding the Greek Isles, the intimately sized National Geographic Orion will unveil the Mediterranean from a fresh perspective, venturing to remote islands and notable port cities.

For 30+ years, Lindblad has led cultural expedition cruising along the Mediterranean coasts. By merging decades of regional experience with the unparalleled expertise of National Geographic and a team of highly knowledgeable expedition staff and crew - including naturalists, historians, researchers, guest speakers, National Geographic Photography Experts on select departures, and a minimum of two local guides per voyage - the journey promises deep exploration, providing guests with a comprehensive understanding of the region's history, culture, and distinctive biodiversity.

During the summer season of 2025, National Geographic Orion will embark on 19 expeditions along the celebrated Mediterranean coasts, encompassing the following four new itineraries:

  • 8-day Ancient Mediterranean Odyssey: Exploring Greece, Croatia, and Albania
  • 8-day Treasures of the Adriatic: Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast and Montenegro
  • 8-day Greek Isles Odyssey: Mythology, History, and Cerulean Seas
