Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess has completed a 2-week dry dock in Singapore, carried out from 16th to 30th October 2026, introducing the Sanctuary Collection and a range of upgrades to passenger facilities.

The 3600-passenger vessel is one of the five Royal-Class ships scheduled to receive the premium accommodation and service concept.

The new Sanctuary Collection offers an all-inclusive experience with access to the exclusive Sanctuary Club, enhanced amenities and personalised services. Accommodation options include newly constructed ocean-view cabins, suites, mini-suites, deluxe balcony cabins and balcony staterooms. A dedicated Sanctuary Restaurant has also opened on Deck 6, next to the Concerto Dining Room. The Sanctuary Club will formally become part of the collection from April 22nd, 2027; until then, it will remain available for preview by guests aged 16 and over.

The refit also added 20 passenger cabins, comprising 6 mini-suites, 7 ocean-view cabins, 2 interior cabins and 5 single-occupancy interior cabins.

Several public areas were redesigned. O’Malley’s Irish Pub has replaced the former Vines venue on Deck 5, while Bellini’s cocktail bar has expanded into the space previously occupied by the Photo Gallery, overlooking the central Piazza. The Princess Casino has been reconfigured to provide a more open gaming area and additional space for slot machines, with the staircase connecting Decks 6 and 7 removed. Retail improvements include a refurbished Effy jewellery boutique and upgrades to The Shops of Princess following the introduction of Starboard as the onboard retail partner.

Princess Cruises Chief Operating Officer Rodrigo Llaguno said the work had added new accommodation and social venues while updating existing passenger spaces.

Following the Singapore refit, Royal Princess is heading to Australia for the 2026–2027 season, operating from Sydney. The deployment forms part of Princess Cruises’ regional programme, which includes 3 ships, 42 itineraries and 62 departures, covering Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
