TUI River Cruises has announced its first racing-themed sailing, From River to Racetrack, combining a 7-night Danube cruise aboard TUI Maya with access to the 2027 Hungarian Grand Prix weekend in Budapest. The themed voyage is scheduled to depart on July 26th and return on August 2nd, 2027.
The itinerary includes calls at Vienna and Bratislava before the ship reaches Budapest, where it will remain throughout the Grand Prix weekend. The package includes seated grandstand tickets and organised transfers to the Hungaroring circuit for all three days of the event: Friday practice, Saturday qualifying and Sunday’s race. A guest speaker will also be onboard to provide insights into motorsport.
Katy Berzins, Head of River Cruise at TUI River Cruises, said the new product reflects growing demand for holidays built around major sporting and live events. She explained that the concept combines the convenience of river cruising with the opportunity to visit key Danube destinations and attend one of the season’s major motorsport events.
The seven-night From River to Racetrack package is advertised from GBP 2,299 per person, based on two adults sharing a Deck 1 Standard Cabin on a Full Board Plus basis. The fare includes a grandstand ticket, return TUI Airways flights from London Gatwick to Budapest on July 26th, 2027, 23 kg of luggage per person, transfers, gratuities and service charges, as well as organised transport to the circuit on selected days.
Full Board Plus includes tea, coffee, soft drinks, wine or beer with meals, with an option to upgrade to All Inclusive. TUI has clarified that the experience is independently organised and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an official partner of the Hungarian Grand Prix. Prices were quoted on October 26th, 2026 and are subject to change and availability.
