National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has announced the final collection of voyages in its 2028-2029 deployment, adding new itineraries, extended journeys and further opportunities to explore aboard its expedition fleet and selected chartered vessels.
The latest schedule builds on the initial deployment announced in August and expands offerings in the Galápagos, Baja California and the Amazon. It also introduces a new Costa Rica and Panama expedition, alongside journeys through Egypt and Peru. Voyages will be supported by Expedition Leaders, naturalists, historians, scientists, photographers and National Geographic Expedition Experts.
The Galápagos programme will feature eight itineraries ranging from seven to 17 days aboard National Geographic Endeavour II, National Geographic Islander II, National Geographic Gemini and National Geographic Delfina. Extended back-to-back sailings will provide additional time to explore the archipelago’s islands and ecosystems, accompanied by experienced naturalists and expedition teams.
A new 2029 Peru and Galápagos Escape itinerary will combine visits to Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu with an expedition to the Galápagos, where activities will include wildlife observation and snorkelling.
In Central America, a new 15-day Costa Rica and Panama expedition will connect the Pacific wilderness and Guanacaste highlands with Panama’s rainforests, Pearl Islands and Canal. An expanded 8-day Guanacaste itinerary will provide further opportunities for wildlife and cultural exploration. Activities across the programmes will include Zodiac excursions, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkelling and visits to Gatún Lake and Barro Colorado Island aboard National Geographic Venture.
From November 2028 to October 2029, the Upper Amazon: A River Expedition will operate aboard Delfin II and Delfin III, exploring Peru’s Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve. Excursions by skiff, kayak and on foot will offer opportunities to observe pink river dolphins, primates, macaws, sloths and caimans, while visits to Ribereño communities will provide insight into local initiatives supported by Minga Peru.
In Baja California, National Geographic Quest will operate itineraries focused on the Gulf of California’s desert and marine ecosystems, seasonal encounters with grey whales and a holiday-season departure. The Egypt programme will include The Passage Through Egypt Aboard Oberoi Philae, a journey for up to 44 guests connecting Cairo with Abu Simbel. Accompanied by Egyptologists and Certified Photo Instructors, guests will visit landmarks including the Pyramids and Sphinx, as well as sites such as Saqqara, Dendera and Kom Ombo.
Lindblad Expeditions CEO Trey Byus said the expanded programme reflects the company’s focus on providing more in-depth destination experiences through extended itineraries, smaller vessels and active exploration. The company said its expedition teams would continue adapting each voyage to local conditions, wildlife activity and opportunities for discovery.
