RCI-Royal Caribbean International's newest OASIS PLUS class ship Utopia of the Seas is nearing its grand debut, marking the next evolution in vacation experiences.

Commencing Tuesday, May 7th, Utopia embarked on a 5-day sea trial, a crucial milestone in her final preparations before the inauguration in Port Canaveral/Orlando Florida in July 2024.

900+ experts in naval architecture, engineering, navigation, and design have assembled aboard Utopia OTS to conduct rigorous testing, ensuring the ship's readiness for smooth sailing. This comprehensive assessment covers everything from navigation and engine performance to technical checks, spanning 1,000+ miles of open water.

Following the sea trial, Utopia will undergo the final construction phase at STX France/Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, gearing up to welcome passengers starting July 19th.

As the first OASIS ship to debut with 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday cruises, the 17-deck Utopia OTS promises an unparalleled short vacation experience. Guests can indulge in innovative dining experiences like Royal Railway, exciting thrills such as the longest dry slide at sea, and captivating entertainment spanning air, ice, water, and stage.

Furthermore, all of Utopia's itineraries include Royal Caribbean's private Bahamian island CocoCay, offering a plethora of attractions including waterslides, huge swimming pools, secluded beaches like Hideaway Beach, exclusive cabanas, and live music.
