Seabourn Encore, operated by Seabourn—recognized globally for its ultra-luxury cruise and expedition offerings—made her inaugural call to the continental United States on April 9, 2025. The vessel docked for the first time in Long Beach (LA California), marking a significant operational milestone for the line.
This port visit provided a limited opportunity for local guests and travel advisor partners to inspect the vessel firsthand. The stop also functioned as a key transitional waypoint as Seabourn Encore begins her repositioning toward European waters. The ship’s itinerary includes a Panama Canal transit, followed by a transatlantic crossing and a summer deployment in the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas.
Mark Tamis, President of Seabourn, remarked that the company considered the arrival a noteworthy event in the vessel’s current sailing programme. He stated that the forthcoming voyage from Long Beach would take guests through a range of regions, including the Panama Canal as well as ports in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia, before continuing toward Europe.
Following her Mediterranean season, Seabourn Encore is scheduled to undertake an extended westbound voyage commencing in November 2025. The route will span over 18,500 nautical miles, crossing two oceans and five continents. This leg of the deployment will carry the vessel across the Atlantic Ocean, Southern Caribbean, the Panama Canal, and the Pacific Ocean, eventually making way toward Japanese waters.
