CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has announced the cancellation of 6 scheduled voyages aboard Carnival Adventure, set to depart between May 17th and June 14th, 2027.
These itineraries, originating from Sydney NSW, included destinations such as the Great Barrier Reef, Vanuatu, and Moreton Island. The company attributed the cancellations to a "short-term change in itinerary plans for Carnival Adventure".
Passengers affected by these changes are being offered full refunds or the option to rebook on alternative CCL cruises. Those who choose to rebook will receive onboard credits as compensation. For shorter voyages, the credit is AU$25 per person, up to AU$50 per stateroom, while longer itineraries offer AU$50 per person, up to AU$100 per stateroom.
Carnival Adventure, formerly known as Pacific Adventure under P&O Cruises Australia, was integrated into the CCL's fleet in March 2025 following the consolidation of P&O Cruises Australia into Carnival Cruise Line. Since then, the vessel has been operating year-round from Sydney, offering a variety of itineraries tailored to the Australian market.
The specific reasons for the itinerary changes have not been disclosed, leading to speculation about potential redeployment or other operational adjustments. However, no official statements have been made regarding the ship's future beyond the affected dates.
CCL has assured passengers that they will be notified of any further changes and that customer service representatives are available to assist with rebooking or refund processes. The company remains committed to providing quality cruise experiences and will continue to evaluate and adjust itineraries as necessary to meet operational requirements and guest expectations.
