Aqua Mare sets standard for small‑ship Galápagos cruising

The Aqua Mare luxury yacht of the Aqua Expeditions/fleet is now based year-round in the Galápagos Islands.

With a capacity for 16 guests across 7x Zuretti-designed suites (including an expansive 80 m2 Owner’s Suite), the vessel offers an intimate and bespoke seafaring adventure.

Each Galapagos voyage unfolds a new chapter. From the crimson sands of Rábida to the blackened lava fields of Sullivan Bay, the archipelago reveals itself in ever-shifting tableaux. Marine iguanas warm their bodies on volcanic rocks while sea lions weave through crystal-clear waters, sometimes shadowing snorkeling guests or guiding along in kayaks. Inland, giant tortoises traverse highland grasslands, and the skies teem with frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies diving for their catch.

Aqua Mare provides a seamless continuum between wild discovery and refined repose. The yacht features expansive social areas—including indoor lounges and an aft beach club—as well as an upper-deck jacuzzi, barbecue zone, and open-air workout deck.

Naturalist guides accompany each shore excursion and snorkelling outing, illuminating the archipelago’s ecology under the watch of the Galápagos National Park.

Gourmet dining is woven into each day aboard. Chef-curated Nikkei-inspired cuisine spotlights locally sourced seafood and produce, elevating every meal to a refined experience.

Across over three years of exploration, no two itineraries aboard Aqua Mare are alike. Whether tracing eastern or western routes—or combining both—the vessel continues to chart forward voyages, bringing guests into the living tapestry of an archipelago unchanged for millennia.
