Celestyal Cruises has revealed the results of a significant winter refurbishment to its vessel Celestyal Discovery, providing an early look at the ship’s newly reconfigured staterooms. The 1,360-guest cruise ship returned to service in the Mediterranean this March following extensive upgrades and is set to begin its inaugural season in the Arabian Gulf this December.
The renovation, carried out in collaboration with design firm AMK, introduced 47 newly constructed staterooms. Among these are 30 Junior Dream Suites, two Grand Horizon Suites, and 15 interior Cosmos Cabins. With the enhancements, the vessel’s total guest capacity has risen by 7.4%.
Celestyal Cruises' chief commercial officer noted that the refit demonstrates the company’s sustained commitment to elevating the onboard experience. Particular attention was given to expanding the number of balcony accommodations and refining premium suite options, in response to increased demand for upgraded comfort. The company emphasized that these changes were made while maintaining the ship’s hallmark small-vessel character and personal service.
The vessel’s upcoming deployment to the Arabian Gulf marks its first entry into that region. Alongside the refurbishment, Celestyal Cruises has launched a promotional campaign offering up to 60% savings on 87 departures scheduled through March 2027. The offer, valid through August 31, includes inclusive amenities such as meals, soft drinks, WiFi, port charges, and gratuities. Additionally, guests who pre-load their CelestyalPay accounts will receive a 25% bonus on any advance credit.
