Windstar schedules Canary Islands cruises (2026-2027) for Wind Spirit ship

Windstar Cruises has confirmed that its sailing yacht Wind Spirit will enter the Canary Islands market with a new series of 9-night voyages between November 2026 and January 2027.

The itinerary introduces first-time calls at lesser-known ports such as Porto Santo (Portugal) and El Hierro (Spain), with a focus on immersive and low-impact tourism. The voyages emphasize cultural engagement, small-group exploration, and natural highlights including volcanic landscapes, UNESCO sites, and astronomy-focused experiences.

This regional deployment follows Windstar’s initial introduction to the Canaries in 2025. The ship will benefit from newly updated guest areas and will make use of Windstar’s marina platform for direct water access at select ports.

Windstar has positioned these voyages as an alternative winter holiday option, with seasonal celebrations such as Nochebuena and Rondallas performances integrated into the sailings. Incentives for early bookings include complimentary beverage packages, Wi-Fi, gratuities, and a new pay-in-full discount.
