Coral Expeditions (Australia) 2027 Kimberley cruise season

Australia’s foremost small-ship expedition cruise company, Coral Expeditions, has set sail into its 2027 Kimberley season with scheduled 47 departures across its 3-ship fleet: Coral Adventurer, Coral Discoverer, and Coral Geographer.

The voyages, running from March through September, continue the brand’s four decades of passenger shipping operations in one of the globe’s most remote and ancient maritime frontiers.

The classic 10-night “Kimberley Cruise” itinerary (between homeports Darwin and Broome) will transport travelers to the twin cascades of the King George River, through landscapes marked by ancestral rock art and vibrant reefs. Later in the season, whale song may accompany the journey as humpbacks begin their annual migration north.

A revitalized itinerary—"Coral Frontiers and Kimberley Icons"—will also sail over ten nights, combining the celebrated highlights of the Kimberley with visits to Rowley Shoals Marine Park, Ashmore Reef, and Scott Reef, timed to benefit from the clarity of the late-spring dry season.

For those intent on capturing the Kimberley Coast’s austere grandeur, a partnership voyage with the Australian Geographic Society, titled “A Lens on Nature: The Kimberley,” is slated for July 20th and August 27th, 2027. It is tailored for photographers, videographers, and storytellers drawn to the interplay of light, rugged topography, and wildlife.

Coral Expeditions has expanded access for solo travelers, increasing single-cabin availability and reducing single supplements. Simultaneously, private groups and families will benefit from greater booking flexibility and tailored arrangements.

Jeff Gilles, the line’s Chief Commercial Officer, affirmed that Coral Expeditions remains the leading choice for expedition travelers seeking local expertise, small-group intimacy, and swift shore access via the fleet’s signature Xplorer tenders.

Booking for the 2027 Kimberley voyages is now open, supported by the Cairns-based Coral Expeditions team for both direct travelers and advisors.
