Aurora Expeditions (Australia) has opened sales for its 2027 season, which will feature 21 voyages across 22 countries.

The program includes itineraries in the Mediterranean and Adriatic, the Atlantic and African coast, Central America with Costa Rica and Panama, Northern Europe, and the UK and Ireland. The voyages will be operated by three vessels: Greg Mortimer, Sylvia Earle, and the soon-to-be-launched Douglas Mawson, all designed to access smaller harbors that are not available to larger ships.

Each sailing will include Master Storytellers, such as historians, genealogists, and art experts, who will provide lectures and commentary to enhance the cultural and historical understanding of destinations. Pre- and post-cruise city stays are offered to extend travel options, while “Your Choice” excursions and enrichment programs allow for tailored experiences ranging from wine tastings to historical tours.

The 2027 program includes UNESCO-listed sites and major ports such as Dubrovnik and Nice, alongside smaller destinations including the Trulli houses of Alberobello, the Isle of Lewis in Scotland, and the olive groves of Istria. Notable new itineraries include A Mediterranean Feast from Valletta to Barcelona, La Dolce Vita from Nice to Rome, and Treasures of the Adriatic from Valletta to Zagreb. Other highlights cover transits of the Panama Canal, explorations of the French and Italian Rivieras, and voyages to Ireland, Portugal, and Northern Europe.

Aurora Expeditions stated that the advantages of small ship cruising include access to smaller ports, more immersive excursions with local guides, onboard enrichment through expert lecturers, and a social atmosphere with an average of 130 passengers per voyage. The company also indicated that selected voyages will offer savings of up to 25% and that 10 solo staterooms per sailing will be available without a single supplement.
