AIDA Cruises has confirmed adjustments to two of its planned sailings in late 2026 on the AIDAcosma.
The changes are the result of the vessel’s first scheduled drydock, set for autumn of that year, which required an alteration of her deployment schedule relative to other ships in the fleet.
The sailings originally planned for November 29th and December 5th will now depart earlier, on November 26th and December 3rd, respectively. Both voyages will begin in Palma de Mallorca. The first, a 6-night Mediterranean cruise, will call at Barcelona, Marseille, La Spezia, and Civitavecchia. The second, a 7-night itinerary to the Canary Islands, will proceed via Málaga, Cádiz, Puerto de Rosario, and Arrecife before concluding in Las Palmas.
The drydock represents routine maintenance following AIDAcosma’s entry into service in 2021. Built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg as part of Carnival Corporation’s Excel class, the 180,000-ton vessel is the second LNG-powered cruise ship in the AIDA fleet, following AIDAnova of 2018. As with other ships of her class, the scheduled yard period is considered essential for maintaining operational standards and ensuring the vessel’s continued reliability.
Passengers holding pre- and post-cruise travel packages will see their arrangements adjusted in accordance with the new dates. AIDA Cruises has begun informing affected guests and will provide additional details regarding itinerary and accommodation changes. Following her maintenance period, AIDAcosma is expected to resume her winter program in the Atlantic, primarily serving the Canary Islands and Madeira, which remain among the line’s most popular destinations during the colder months.
