Riviera Travel (fleet) has confirmed its entry into the Asian market with the launch of Riviera Alba, a purpose-built river vessel scheduled to commence operations on the Mekong River in 2027. The announcement follows the company’s recent introduction of the cruise industry’s first ship dedicated exclusively to solo travelers. Bookings for the 2027 season are now open, with limited-time promotional savings and airfare incentives available.

Designed to accommodate 50 passengers in 25 suites, Riviera Alba will feature panoramic river views, an open-air sun deck with pool and jacuzzi, and a range of guest facilities. Amenities will include a main restaurant offering both international and Asian cuisine, a lounge bar, spa, library, coffee and tea lounge, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The vessel will operate with a high crew-to-guest ratio to ensure attentive service throughout each voyage.

The new itinerary, titled Vietnam, Cambodia and Mekong River Cruise, spans 13 nights and incorporates 14 guided experiences. Ports of call will include Phnom Penh, with additional visits to smaller rural locations along the Mekong. Extended time in Siem Reap will allow exploration of the Angkor temple complex, including Angkor Wat. Excursions will highlight ancient temples, local markets, and daily life along the river. Prices begin at US$5,049 per person, with departures scheduled between September and December 2027.

In addition to its expansion into Asia, Riviera has opened bookings for its 2027 European program, including two new solo itineraries: Budapest to the Black Sea and Cruise the Heart of Europe (Rhine, Main & Danube). Guests who reserve by November 16th, 2025 may secure savings of up to 50% on brochure fares for 2027 departures. A two-for-one airfare credit, valued at up to US$1,500 per guest, is also being offered on select 2026 sailings when flights are booked through Riviera, with eligibility for bookings completed by December 5th, 2025.
