The Indian company Antara Cruises has introduced a programme called Tides of Celebration, offering special Christmas and New Year cruises aboard its boutique vessel MV Bengal Ganga on the Ganges River.

The 3-night journeys, scheduled for December 24th–27th, 2025, for Christmas and December 30th, 2025–January 2nd, 2026 for New Year, target small groups, corporate gatherings, and families or friends wishing to mark the festive season with a refined river voyage.

The Bengal Ganga, built with influences from traditional Burmese craftsmanship, offers private balconies, a spacious dining room, a lounge bar and a versatile sundeck, presenting an ambience of understated elegance. The cruise experience includes curated entertainment, refined gastronomy, and the possibility of tailoring the itinerary to suit travellers’ interests.

During the voyage, guests will be taken along riverine routes of West Bengal, with planned excursions to heritage and cultural sites such as Tribeni Gazi Dargah, Bansberia Hanseswari Temple, the textile hub of Phulia and the historic town of Kalna, along with riverbank celebrations, a ceremonial Deep Daan ritual, sundeck yoga sessions, and other bespoke events.

According to company leadership, the “Tides of Celebration” cruises aim not merely to transport but to offer an immersive journey into the spirit of the Ganges — presenting a venue for year-end celebrations that combines cultural immersion, serene landscapes and refined hospitality.
