MSC Explora Journeys unveils new member programme

Explora Journeys, the luxury ocean travel brand of the MSC Group, has instituted a structured referral initiative within its Explora Club loyalty programme, intending to acknowledge continued patronage among existing Members and to draw new participants into the brand’s passenger base. The loyalty programme itself commenced in April 2025 and has since conferred privileges on Members such as early access to itineraries, pre-departure services and select onboard events. The newly announced referral component was introduced in December 2025 and expands that framework by offering reciprocal incentives to both current Members and those they refer who are entirely new to Explora Journeys’ sailings. 

Under the terms of the referral scheme, a registered Member may nominate up to ten prospective guests per calendar year to join the loyalty programme. Prospective guests, defined as individuals with no prior sailing experience with Explora Journeys, enrol in the Explora Club and, upon successful registration, accrue a set number of Future Journey Credits that may be applied toward their initial voyage reservation, along with a defined quantity of loyalty points once that voyage is completed. The Member making the referral becomes eligible for equivalent credits and points once the referred guest embarks on and completes their first journey. Accumulated points contribute to the Member’s progression through the programme’s tiered structure, which ranges from Classic to Diamond status, with advancing tiers associated with expanded recognition and benefits. 

Explora Journeys indicates that the referral initiative aligns with its broader approach to cultivating sustained engagement between passengers and the sea-borne network it operates, extending both tangible rewards and the opportunity for companions to experience its ocean travel offerings together.
