Margaritaville at Sea Paradise has resumed service after completing a refit and refurbishment programme during a recent drydock period in Grand Bahama. The vessel, built in 1991, re-entered operation with a series of updates focused primarily on interior spaces and public venues.

The work concentrated on renewing existing areas rather than altering the ship’s structure. According to the company, the programme was intended to extend the vessel’s service life while improving the consistency and condition of guest spaces. An overview of the refit was shared through a company-produced video that documented the process and outlined the scope of the changes made on board.

Among the principal areas addressed was the Euphoria Lounge, which underwent a full interior refresh. The space was stripped back to its steel foundations before new underlay and carpeting were installed. Updated upholstery, wall finishes, and lighting were also introduced, with the intention of improving both durability and comfort under foot.

The Margaritaville Casino was similarly refurbished, with attention given to surfaces and fittings throughout the venue. Gaming tables were refinished and reupholstered, and new felts were fitted. The ceiling was repainted in black, lighting elements were wrapped with tropical-themed finishes, and new carpeting was laid across the space. Additional gaming equipment was also introduced as part of the update.

A significant change to the ship’s dining layout came with the replacement of the former self-service buffet. In its place, Margaritaville at Sea Paradise now features High Tide Market, a food hall-style venue made up of multiple stations offering a range of cuisines. The conversion involved a complete overhaul of the space, including new flooring, lighting, ceiling design, and a revised colour scheme.

Refurbishment work extended to exterior guest areas as well. The main pool deck now includes newly installed cabanas, while the 12-Volt Pool area underwent a more extensive renewal. The original deck tiles surrounding the pool were removed and replaced with a synthetic surface designed for marine environments. New loungers were added, and the surrounding structures received fresh paint.

In addition to the refurbishment of existing venues, a new Permanent Reminder Tattoo Studio was installed on Deck 8. The concept, which previously debuted aboard Margaritaville at Sea Islander, has now been introduced on Paradise as part of a broader rollout across the fleet.

With the completion of the drydock programme, Margaritaville at Sea Paradise returns to service carrying forward its familiar layout, updated through a series of measured improvements intended to modernise guest spaces while maintaining the vessel’s established character.
