MSC Cruises has opened bookings for its third consecutive Alaska season, with MSC Poesia scheduled to return to the region for a series of 7-night voyages during the summer of 2028.

The ship will operate weekly departures from Seattle between April 24th and September 18th, 2028, offering itineraries that include calls at Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point and Juneau in Alaska, as well as Victoria, British Columbia. The programme also features scenic cruising through Tracy Arm, allowing guests to experience one of Alaska's best-known fjord landscapes.

Lead-in fares for the 2028 season start from GBP 669 per person for the inaugural departure on April 24th.

MSC Cruises stated that the decision to place a third Alaska season on sale reflects the strong demand the company has experienced since entering the Alaska market in 2026. The cruise line indicated that expanding the programme for 2028 will provide guests with additional opportunities to visit the region while allowing them to secure bookings well in advance.

The company also noted that MSC Poesia recently completed an extensive refurbishment, which introduced the MSC Yacht Club, the line's luxury ship-within-a-ship concept, together with new specialty dining venues and other upgraded guest facilities.

Between successive Alaska seasons, MSC Poesia will continue to operate MSC Grand Voyages through the Panama Canal, repositioning between Seattle and Miami before returning to North American deployment.
