Crystal has announced the addition of a new Wellness at Sea Retreat aboard Crystal Serenity, scheduled to operate as a roundtrip voyage from Lisbon between 11th and 17th October 2026. The programme has been introduced in response to growing demand for wellness-focused sailings centred on movement, mindfulness, and restorative travel experiences.

The 7-day itinerary will incorporate the maritime debut of Sanctum, a wellness practice developed in Amsterdam that combines high-intensity exercise, breathwork, and meditative movement within a music-led group environment. The concept is intended to form part of a broader onboard wellness programme designed to support physical conditioning and mental well-being throughout the voyage.

Gab Olszewski, Chief Executive Officer of Sanctum, stated that the programme had been conceived as a structured ritual combining movement, controlled breathing, and meditative techniques within an immersive format intended to encourage disconnection from external distractions and greater personal focus. He further noted that the Lisbon voyage would represent the first implementation of the concept at sea.

The itinerary includes calls at Portimão, Casablanca, Agadir, and Arrecife, with shore experiences structured around outdoor activity and regional landscapes. In southern Portugal, excursions are expected to include guided exploration along the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, incorporating Praia da Marinha, Praia de Benagil, and the Alfanzina Lighthouse. In Lanzarote, guests will have access to guided hiking programmes through the Haría region and the Valley of a Thousand Palms.

Daily onboard programming throughout the voyage will combine restorative and physically active elements, including movement sessions, yoga practices, guided sound therapy, nutritional consultations, and sensory workshops. Additional Sanctum sessions will also be available during the crossing.

Dalila Roglieri, Wellness Ambassador for Crystal, indicated that wellness programming had become an increasingly integrated component of the onboard guest experience across the fleet. She noted that the addition of the Sanctum retreat reflected increased passenger interest in immersive wellness concepts focused on longevity, movement, and mindfulness while at sea.

The voyage forms part of the wider Wellness at Sea initiative operated aboard Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, through which the company has expanded wellness-oriented programming alongside nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle-focused enrichment at sea.
