CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has completed the rollout of Konami Gaming’s SYNKROS Casino Management System across its entire fleet (29 operational vessels), becoming the second cruise brand within Carnival Corporation to adopt the platform following HAL-Holland America Line's ships. The deployment extends the technology across a combined 40 shipboard casinos operated by the two cruise lines.

The system introduces a range of digital gaming features designed to enhance the onboard casino experience. Guests sailing with Carnival Cruise Line can now access personalised rewards, promotional offers, bonus opportunities and cashless wagering through integration with the ship’s folio system. The platform is also capable of tailoring incentives and gaming experiences according to individual player preferences.

Konami Gaming President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Jingoli stated that Carnival Corporation had continued to invest in guest-focused innovation throughout the voyage experience. He noted that the deployment across Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America Line represented a significant expansion of SYNKROS technology at sea and indicated that Konami intended to continue supporting the corporation’s ongoing fleetwide adoption of the system.

Marty Goldman, Senior Vice President of Global Gaming at Carnival Corporation, indicated that the company’s objective remained focused on enhancing guest enjoyment through service, rewards and technological innovation. He said the rollout of the system throughout the Carnival Cruise Line fleet represented an important step in delivering a more rewarding gaming experience and added that further expansion across Carnival Corporation’s wider portfolio was anticipated.

According to Konami, the technology supports thousands of gaming machines throughout the fleet and includes features such as personalised promotions, virtual prize drawings and cashless gaming functionality. The platform operates under the internal brand name SURF, an acronym for “Serving Up Rewards and Fun,” and is designed to integrate gaming activity with broader onboard guest services.

Carnival Corporation has confirmed that the implementation is part of a broader enterprise-wide strategy and that additional cruise brands within its portfolio are expected to adopt SYNKROS in the future.
