MSC Cruises will serve as title sponsor of three Formula 1 races during the 2027 FIA Formula One World Championship, with the cruise line attached to the Belgian, Portuguese and Turkish Grands Prix.
The sponsored events will include the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Grande Prêmio de Portugal 2027 at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão from June 18th to 20th, the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Belgian Grand Prix 2027 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps from July 23rd to 25th, and the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Turkish Grand Prix 2027 at Istanbul Park from October 1st to 3rd.
The agreement represents the second consecutive year in which MSC Cruises will hold title sponsorship rights for three Formula 1 races. The cruise line began its partnership with Formula 1 in 2022, with the current global partnership extending through 2030.
MSC already maintains a presence at Formula 1 events through trackside branding and hospitality programmes. During the 2027 season, branding for both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, the luxury ocean travel brand within MSC Group's Cruise Division, will also be displayed at selected Grands Prix.
The three races will take place at circuits in three European countries, with Portugal and Türkiye returning to the Formula 1 calendar in 2027.
Portugal's Grand Prix will be staged at the 4.6-kilometre Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão from June 18th to 20th. The event will mark Formula 1's return to Portugal after the country's most recent Grand Prix in 2021. The circuit is characterised by significant elevation changes and a technical layout.
The Belgian Grand Prix will follow at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps from July 23rd to 25th. Measuring 7.004 kilometres, Spa-Francorchamps is among the longest circuits used by Formula 1 and is a long-established venue on the championship calendar.
Formula 1 will return to Türkiye for the October 1-3 Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul Park. The 5.33-kilometre circuit joined the Formula 1 calendar in 2005 and has hosted nine Grands Prix. Its most recent Formula 1 races were held in 2020 and 2021, while its return in 2027 forms part of a new 5-year agreement running through 2031.
The 2027 Formula 1 calendar comprises 24 Grands Prix in 22 countries, together with 10 Sprint events. Portugal and Türkiye are the two new additions to the schedule, while Belgium remains on the calendar.
