Carnival Corporation, together with CCL-Carnival Cruise Line, HAL-Holland America Line and Princess Cruises, has donated a combined US$25,000 to Direct Relief to support recovery efforts in Hawai‘i following a series of severe storms that have affected the islands this season.

The contribution includes donations from Carnival Corporation and each of the three cruise brands and is intended to assist with immediate relief needs being coordinated by Direct Relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Nolo. The funds will also support longer-term recovery efforts following Hurricanes Lala and Lowell, as well as other significant storms that have recently impacted Hawai‘i.

Carnival Corporation’s cruise brands are among the leading cruise operators serving the Hawaiian market, with 200+ annual calls at 5 destinations: Nawiliwili, Kahului, Honolulu, Hilo and Kailua Kona. Collectively, the brands bring ~528,000 cruise guests to Hawai‘i each year, contributing to the state’s cruise tourism sector.

Direct Relief is working with local healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations and health agencies to assess ongoing recovery requirements. Through its Hurricane Preparedness Program, the humanitarian organization has pre-positioned three emergency medical aid stockpiles in Hawai‘i to provide healthcare teams with rapid access to medications and supplies commonly required after hurricanes. Its response has also included field medic packs for triage operations, water purification supplies and personal care items for displaced residents.

According to Direct Relief, the Kona Low storm system that affected Hawai‘i on March 10th, 2026, was followed by Hurricanes Lala and Lowell and other severe weather events. Since the onset of the storms, the organization has provided US$800,000+ in medical assistance to health centers, clinics and nonprofit organizations across the islands, including the Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawai‘i and Hawai‘i Island Community Health Center.
