Crystal will expand the accommodation options aboard Crystal Serenity following the ship’s scheduled dry dock in 2028. The refurbishment will introduce a Crystal Owner’s Suite and four Junior Penthouse Premium Suites on Deck 11, adding to the vessel’s existing suite portfolio. The development follows the introduction of the Owner’s Suite aboard Crystal Grace during its inaugural season.
Bernie Leypold, Crystal’s Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations, explained that the additions were intended to update the ship’s design and increase accommodation choices while maintaining the established character of the Crystal brand.
The new Crystal Owner’s Suite will measure 1,722 square feet, with an additional 409-square-foot private veranda. Located midship, the two-bedroom accommodation will be designed by naval architect and naval design historian Paolo Piccione. Its interiors will feature wooden flooring, custom wool carpets, handcrafted cabinetry and fine fabrics.
The living room will include a library and fireplace, while the dining area will provide panoramic ocean views, a butler pantry and personalised bar service. An advanced Hi-Fi entertainment system will distribute music throughout the interior and exterior areas, with touch-panel controls in the living room and master bedroom enabling multi-zone audio and curated playlists.
The master bedroom will feature a king-size bed and two large walk-in closets. Its adjoining bathroom will be finished in marble and equipped with a Jacuzzi. The second bedroom will have its own walk-in closet and separate bathroom, providing additional accommodation for family members or travelling companions.
The suite will also include Technogym fitness equipment, supported by personalised Technogym Coach programming and integrated entertainment. The equipment will be positioned to provide ocean views during workouts.
Four Junior Penthouse Premium Suites will also be added amidships. Each will offer 861 square feet of interior space and a 205-square-foot veranda. Their layouts will draw inspiration from the Junior Penthouse accommodations aboard Crystal Symphony and will complement the 6 existing Junior Penthouse Deluxe Suites on Crystal Serenity.
The new suites are scheduled to become available for guests sailing from May 5th, 2028.
