Crystal Serenity deck plans

Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities

Crystal Serenity deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2025-2026-2027 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Crystal Cruises deckplan pdf (printable version).

Each of the Crystal Serenity cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Crystal Serenity staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.

Crystal Serenity (2003-built, last refurbished in 2023) is the second and newer of the two Crystal Cruises ships, alongside Crystal Symphony. Both vessels are also sisterships to Asuka II, owned by the Japanese container shipping company NYK Line. Under the name “Crystal Harmony,” the vessel was operated by Crystal Cruises from 1990 to 2005.

The Crystal Serenity cruise ship deck plan features a total of 347 staterooms for 740 passengers (maximum capacity 794), served by 655 crew members. The ship has 13 decks (9 accessible to passengers, 5 with cabins), 4 restaurants, 13 lounges and bars, 2 swimming pools (one with a retractable glass roof), 2 outdoor Jacuzzis (whirlpool hot tubs), 8 elevators, and self-service laundromats on the cabin decks.

Passenger-accessible decks are connected via 8 elevators (3 forward, 3 midship, 2 aft) and feature public restrooms. Deck 14 is accessible only by the forward and aft elevators.

Complimentary onboard amenities and services include:

  • All beverages (including alcohol), gratuities, butler service (for all Suites), 24-hour in-room dining (from the main dining room menu), room service, self-service laundry, and twice-daily housekeeping.
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi – since 2015, free Internet access is offered to all guests (regardless of stateroom category) for up to 60 minutes per person per day, and 90 minutes per day for Penthouse Suite guests.
  • All fine dining restaurants feature premium linens by Garnier-Thiebaut, Riedel crystal, and deluxe china by Villeroy & Boch.
  • Each Crystal Penthouse features a separate living and dining area, private gym studio, Bang & Olufsen audio system, three HDTVs, and a bathroom with ocean view.
  • All cabins are equipped with deluxe bedding and pillow menus, high-end toiletries, Egyptian cotton towels, slippers, kimonos, and plush robes.

Crystal Serenity Deck Plan Changes – 2018 Refurbishment Review

The ship's 2018 drydock refurbishment (October 18 – November 6, at Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany) reduced passenger capacity to enable single-seating dining. Following the refit, Crystal Serenity began offering free Wi-Fi to all passengers.

  • On Deck 9, two new balcony cabin categories were introduced—Seabreeze Penthouse Suite (12 added) and Seabreeze Penthouse (28 added). These staterooms match the size of existing Penthouses (365 ft² / 34 m²) and Penthouse Suites (490 ft² / 46 m²). Seabreeze Penthouses are connecting cabins with shared entryways.
  • All Penthouses include upgraded all-inclusive amenities, including butler service, in-room dining, and complimentary specialty dining.
  • The refurbishment reduced ship capacity from 1254 to 980, raising the guest-to-space ratio to 70.3.
  • The Crystal Dining Room was renamed “Waterside” and updated with more 2- and 4-seat tables. Assigned seating was replaced by open seating (6–9:30 pm). Breakfast and lunch service remained unchanged.
  • Lido Café now operates as Marketplace (by day) and Churrascaria (steakhouse by night), featuring an open kitchen and made-to-order dishes. Marketplace serves buffet breakfast and lunch, while Churrascaria offers casual dinners (6–9 pm) with Brazilian-themed cuisine served by “gauchos” (staff) on traditional skewers.
  • The Silk restaurant menu was enhanced with modern Chinese fare served family-style. Self-service is available at breakfast and lunch, including dumplings, Chinois salad, soup, and a noodle bar. Dinners are open-seating (reservations recommended, 6–9 pm).
  • Trident Bar and Grill serves casual fare, including burgers and sandwiches.
  • Silk Road and The Sushi Bar (both specialty restaurants by celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa) were renamed “Umi Uma,” offering Nobu-inspired cuisine prepared by Nobu-trained chefs.
  • Umi Uma and Prego offer complimentary reservations for Penthouse guests. Other guests receive one complimentary reservation (additional visits are available at a surcharge).
  • The new complimentary Wi-Fi is shipwide, thanks to upgraded hardware and software that doubled satellite Internet speed.
  • “Crystal Connect” is the onboard portal for Internet access and ship-related information (menus, schedules, excursions, digital news, movies, lectures, etc.). It is available as a mobile app for personal devices.
  • All cabins were upgraded with new 42-inch smart HDTVs featuring interactive infotainment systems.
  • The ship's Computer University at Sea (educational workshops) was redesigned and modernized.
  • The forward Palm Court lounge was redesigned with more intimate seating arrangements.
  • Several hundred crew and subcontractors participated in the refurbishment alongside Lloyd Werft workers.

In May 2016, all Penthouse Suites were overhauled. Also refurbished were Trident Grill, Lido Café, and Tastes restaurant on the Lido Deck. The drydock in Cádiz included general maintenance.
