Carnival Corporation unveiled a customizable digital companion named Ocean Tagalong (trade mark) that will interact with passengers on Ocean Medallion cruises and represent them in interactive games.

Carnival Ocean TagalongOcean Tagalong is part of O•C•E•A•N (One Cruise Experience Access Network) platform which makes its global debut on Princess Cruises’ Regal Princess in November 2017 at Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale.

The platform enables a personal concierge and delivers a new level of personalized service that was not previously considered possible. Tagalong is the latest in a series of engaging features being invented to enhance the cruise vacation experience.

When passengers create a profile within Ocean Compass they will be invited to create an unique Tagalong of their own. The digital companions will follow them from the registration to the end of the cruise and also rejoin them on future voyages. Everyone who creates his own Ocean profile can personalize Tagalong. Cruise bookings are not required.

Passengers can select from 3 sea creatures – Butterfly Fish, Seahorse or Sea Turtle – to reflect their “alter ego” in the best way and further customize the Tagalong by color, pattern, body shape, marks (tattoos) and much more.

Once created, the animated Tagalongs will appear online within a passenger’s profile as well as in interactive PlayOcean games which can be played online, and interacting within Ocean Portals onboard Medallion Class ships. Tagalongs evolve throughout the voyage, reflecting the interactions and personality of the passenger and collecting “charms” which show off their achievements.
