Costa Cruises Fights Food Waste

Costa Cruises joined forces with tech company Winnow to fight food waste, which extends line’s deep commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability.

As pioneers in global cruise industry, the Italy-based cruise line famous for Italian-style holidays, is focused on providing excellent dining experience while investing in reduction of food losses at the production spot, where the ultimate goal is to reduce waste consistently.

The mission of Winnow is to help hospitality industry tackle avoidable food waste via providing staff and chefs with creative ways to run an efficient operation.

The flagship of Costa, Costa Diadema, is now the primary lab where this project takes place. The project will be implemented on all Costa Cruises' ships in Asia and Europe.
