Horton Hears a Who! was published in 1940, and became one of Dr. Seuss’ most loved books. It is about Horton the Elephant, who discovers a small planet that is home to a community named Whoville. Despite the objections from his friends, Horton decides to protect Whoville, saying that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”

The new Carnival programming includes a “pledge to be kind” activity where children can write down kindness pledges to be posted on a special onboard banner, with prizes for the most creative submissions. Kids can also make friendship bracelets and a variety of other crafts, with screenings of the movie shown onboard throughout October.

In addition to the new activities, offerings within Seuss at Sea program include The Green Eggs & Ham Breakfast with Cat in the Hat and Friends; Dr. Seuss Bookville, Dr. Seuss toys and games, as well as movies shown onboard.
