Cruise Season Closes in Kiel

2017 cruise season ended in Kiel on October 21 with a visit from AIDAvita. This year the cruise port was visited on a total of 143 occasions by 29 cruise vessels with a combined total 10 million GT.

The number of travelers embarking or disembarking at port’s cruise shipping terminals for the first time passed the half million mark. 

In 2018 Kiel will again be the base port for all cruise companies active on the German market. The most frequent callers will be the vessels of AIDA, MSC and TUI.

2018 season will open on April 8 with the arrival of AIDAcara. A highlight of the new season includes the introduction of Mein Schiff 1, expected in Kiel on May 19 at the close of her maiden cruise.
