CCL-Carnival Cruise Line opens 2028-2029 West Coast deployment to Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for its 2028–2029 West Coast deployment, featuring itineraries to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and the Panama Canal aboard Carnival Adventure, Carnival Legend and Carnival Spirit. The programme includes departures from Seattle, San Francisco, Long Beach and Tampa, with a combination of short regional cruises and longer Carnival Journeys sailings.

The newly released schedule includes Alaska cruises from Seattle and San Francisco, extended voyages to Hawaii and the Panama Canal, and a range of Baja Mexico and Mexican Riviera itineraries from California.

Carnival Journeys will feature several longer voyages during the deployment. Carnival Adventure will operate a 9-day Carnival Journeys Alaska cruise departing Seattle on September 12th, 2028, followed by a 16-day Hawaii sailing departing on September 21st. Carnival Legend will offer a 13-day Alaska voyage departing on April 28th, 2028, and a 15-day Hawaii cruise departing on September 14th. Carnival Spirit will operate a 16-day Panama Canal sailing from Tampa on April 16th, followed by a 9-day Alaska cruise from Seattle on September 14th and 11th Carnival Journeys Hawaii sailings.

Carnival Adventure will reposition from Australia to Seattle for the 2028 Alaska season, operating from May through September. Its schedule includes 18 seven-day Alaska Inside Passage and Glacier cruises departing between May 9th and September 5th. The itineraries will feature calls at Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway, scenic cruising through Endicott Arm Fjord and a visit to Victoria, British Columbia.

Carnival Legend will operate from San Francisco, combining shorter cruises to Mexico with longer Alaska itineraries. The schedule includes 10 four-day Baja Mexico cruises between April and August 2028, with calls at Ensenada. The ship will also operate nine 10-day Alaska cruises between May 15th and September 4th, visiting Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan via Ward Cove and Prince Rupert in British Columbia, alongside scenic cruising through Endicott Arm Fjord.

Carnival Spirit will begin its West Coast deployment with the 16-day Panama Canal voyage from Tampa before repositioning to Seattle for the Alaska season. Between May 11th and September 7th, 2028, the ship will operate 18 seven-day Alaska cruises calling at Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway, with scenic cruising through Endicott Arm Fjord and a stop in Victoria. Selected longer itineraries will include 9-day cruises featuring destinations such as Sitka and Icy Strait Point.

Following the Alaska season, Carnival Spirit will reposition to Long Beach in October 2028 for a programme of Hawaii and Mexico cruises extending into spring 2029. The Hawaii itineraries will include calls at Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii Island.

The ship’s Long Beach schedule will also feature 3-day Baja Mexico cruises, 5-day Mexican Riviera itineraries and selected 8-day Mexican Riviera sailings. Destinations will include Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta.

The deployment expands Carnival’s range of West Coast cruise options, combining seasonal Alaska operations with year-round opportunities for shorter Mexico cruises and longer voyages to Hawaii and the Panama Canal.
