The keel-laying of Royal Caribbean's ship marked the official start of construction for line's first Quantum Ultra Class vessel.
A lucky coin was placed under Spectrum's first block as part of maritime tradition. There will be 74 blocks in total that will make up the ship.
Spectrum of the Seas is scheduled to debut in 2019 and will be the first Quantum Ultra vessel specifically designed for passengers in China and Asia-Pacific region. Spectrum will boast cutting-edge and unprecedented amenities.
