Carnival Increases Capacity From Galveston

Carnival Cruise Line announced it will expand capacity on short cruise offerings from Galveston and New Orleans starting 2019.

Carnival Dream will launch 4- and 5-day year-round cruises to Mexico from Galveston beginning May 2019, becoming the newest and biggest Carnival cruise ship to operate a short cruise program from the port and providing Texans with convenient vacation option.

In turn, Carnival Valor, now based in Galveston, will shift to New Orleans to start year-round 4- and 5-day cruises from the Big Easy May 2019. It will be the biggest ship to offer year-round short cruises from New Orleans.

4-day long weekend cruises depart on Thursdays and visit Cozumel, while 5-day sailings depart on Mondays and Saturdays and call at Cozumel and Progreso. Some 5-day itineraries from Galveston offer Cozumel and Costa Maya.
