CMV Announces Name of New Ship

The latest addition to the fleet of Cruise & Maritime Voyages/CMV will be named "Vasco da Gama" following the vote by trade partners and passengers with 46% of the total vote.

The previous P&O Australia vessel Pacific Eden will operate under the German brand of CMV, Transocean Kreuzfahrten, from 2019. It will sail from Kiel and Bremerhaven between May and October and from Adelaide and Fremantle during Australian December-March summer season.

The maiden voyage of Vasco da Gama will depart from Singapore April 24, 2019, on a 46-night itinerary including South East Asia, Egypt, Jordan, Suez Canal, Israel, Mediterranean, London, Amsterdam, Bremerhaven.

Before joining P&O Australia, the 1260-passenger vessel sailed for Holland America as ms Statendam, entering service in 1994.
