In a traditional maritime ceremony at the Italian shipyard, last week Carnival Cruise Line took delivery of the newly-constructed 133,500 GT Carnival Horizon, scheduled to visit Bermuda 5 times in 2018.
On Monday, April 2, the 26th cruise ship in the fleet of Carnival departed from Barcelona on an inaugural 13-day cruise.
The 3,954-passenger ship will operate a transatlantic crossing prior to arriving in New York City on May 23 for a pierside overnight gala and christening ceremony featuring the godmother, Grammy award-winner Queen Latifah.
The Carnival Horizon cruise ship is scheduled to call in Bermuda 5 times this year, once per month in May, June, July, August and September.
