Independence of the Seas Refurbishment 2018

Independence of the SeasRoyal Caribbean's first ship to undergo a refurbishment as part of line's Royal Amplified program, emerged from dry dock ready for passengers to enjoy the new features onboard.

The multimillion-dollar upgrades resulted in the addition of: a larger interactive aqua park, Splashaway Bay, with wild waterslides, pools, drench bucket, water cannons and fountains; Izumi specialty restaurant (featuring table side Teppanyaki grills); Panoramic Ocean View staterooms; new lounges; Trampoline Park; Laser Tag; Escape room; improved ice rink; revamped Royal Theater.

Independence of the Seas headed to Europe, where the cruiser will spend the summer months offering itineraries from Southampton before heading back to Florida (Fort Lauderdale) this fall.
