Carnival Cruise Line’s new 35,000 ft2 Fleet Operations Center in Miami FL is able to simultaneously monitor real-time conditions faced by 26 ships.

The centerpiece of this state-of-the-art facility introduced on Thursday, May 10, at Carnival Corp.’s Doral headquarters is a 74 ft video wall that is composed of 57 LED screens.

Each of the 26 vessels has its own status screen displaying information about the itinerary, current weather, logistics, environmental status and guest operations.

The screens flank world's interactive map showing locations of all 104 cruise ships across Carnival Corp.’s 9 cruise lines. All of them could be monitored, if necessary, from the new center.

The new operations center will be staffed 24 hour per day, 7 days per week. It combines functions once spread across the two main headquarters buildings of the company. There is room for 100 employees, grouped by cruise line’s ship classes.

This is Carnival Corp.’s 3rd and biggest fleet operations center, complementing the centers in Seattle and Hamburg.

And it can even withstand Category 5 hurricane.
