Red Arrows' Display Marks Departure of Cunard's Three Queens from Southampton

On the evening of August 10, Cunard’s Three Queens, Queen ElizabethQueen Victoria and Queen Mary 2, sailed from Southampton UK and were sent off by the Red Arrows, Royal Air Force Aerobic Team via a display of flying formation.

The sendoff marked the first time in line’s history that guests had the chance to see the Red Arrows flying display while onboard.

Passengers onboard Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 were also treated to a special commentary while the jets performed. UK listeners were also able to tune into the commentary on Cowes radio (87.7FM).

Cunard's fleet set sail from Southampton at 5:30 p.m., heading for Isle of Wight. It received a memorable send off from the yachtsmen and spectators at Cowes and Royal Yacht Squadron.
