Virgin Voyages Makes Havana First Destination

Virgin Voyages announced on Wednesday (October 31) in Havana, Cuba that the first destination for the new cruise line of Richard Branson will be Cuba.

The 2,770-guest, adults-only Scarlet Lady cruise ship, will make her maiden voyage from Miami FL to Cuba in 2020.

While creating the new cruise line, Virgin Voyages has been seeking input from its potential clients on both the appearance of the newbuild and its itinerary.

In a blog post, Branson said they had used research from customers and travel partners in the U.K. and U.S. to learn that Cuba was one of the places cruisers would most like to visit.
